Fetcham Explorers Lend a hand on site.

The weather was very grim as the Fetcham Explorer Unit helped the Boidier Hurst Service Crew over the weekend of 24 - 26 November 2006. A number of dead or diseased trees had been felled on site and the Unit made light work of chopping them up to a manageable size.

Over the course of the weekend the Service Crew were able to lay an extenrion to a concrete base allowing a large storage container to be bought on site and concrete slabs were laid outside Royden House to form a patio.

The Service Crew typically meet on site once a month to help keep the site in good running order and their age ranges vary widely. As a member of the Service Crew it’s possible to learn new skills and make new friends whilst having a good time and helping others get the most out of life. If you would be interested in joining the Service Crew or feel you would like to lend a hand one day, please get in touch via email to servicecrew@boidierhurst.org.uk or by telephoning 01372 725 410. Likewise if you have a group of young people who would like to help the site and work towards the service element of their awards we can find accommodating tasks which benefit both parties.
